CYTS-007: YUNNAN EXPLORE AND BIKE TOURS (16DAYS)

Embracing three of the most profoundly beautiful regions of China. This
extended program offers separate bike tours in landscapes of diverse cultural significance.

We begin with a short stay and boat cruise among the famous limestone peaks of the Guilin/Yangshuo region. Flying over the terraced Guizhou Plateau to Kunming,we continue to Dali on the shore of the enhancing Erhai Lake. Here we cycle through the hills and villages of the remarkable Bai People.

Leaving Dali, it is our pleasure to introduce you to the mysterious of the Lugu Lake area, one of the least visited region of the Southwest China. Driving west from the Naxi cultural center of Lijiang, we pass through the foothills of the Tibetan Plateau to reach Yongning. Here by the placid shore of the incomparable Lugu Lake. We will be offered the unique experience of two days cycling through the secluded villages and cool forests of this former Lama Kingdom. Being on bike we have the opportunity to stop at will to explore any of the areas of great natural beauty that surrounded the Lake's shore. Then we go back to Kunming by train so that clients can have some time to relax themselves before they fly to Hong Kong and then continue to their home.

Day 1:Arrive Guilin: Arriving among the most dramatic Karst-mountain landscapes of Guilin, cycle through backstreet to points of local interest.

Day 2:Guilin to Yangshuo: Boat cruise down the enhancing Li River offers
opportunity of taking in the renowned scenery of it's waterways and mountains.Spend afternoon cycling around Yangshuo and the nearby villages.                              Overnight at Guilin Hotel
                                            
Day 3:(Flight)Guilin/Kunming: Kunming is the capital of Yunnan Province and a "Ever Spring City". Cycle around the Green Lake, enjoy sites
of town and taste the excellent local cuisine.

Day 4:Kunming to Dali (420km):Drive through spectacular mountains and rice
growing valleys to Dali, ancestral home of the Bai people.

Day 5:Dali: Cycle through the old market and ancient city and visit the Three Pagoda Monastery                     Overnight at Dali Hotel
Day 6:Dali: Cycle through Bai villages around Erhai Lake, witness daily life, farming and cormorant fishing.       Overnight at Dali Hotel
Day 7:Dali to Lijiang(202km)Driving north through mountainous foothills of Tibetan tableland, witness beauty of sacred Jade Dragon Mountain. Lijiang is the capital of Lijiang Naxi Autonomous Prefecture. Naxi is so far the only ethnic group with living pictographic characters. And that the local people here still plays the music of Tang Dynasty of more than one thousand years ago.

Day 9:Lijiang: Bike to Naxi village of Baisha Xiang, Jade Peak Monastery

Day10: Lijiang to Luoshui (338km) Driving through splendid mountain scenery to Luoshui, a Naxi village by the shores of the resplendent Lugu Lake.                           Overnight at a Luoshui hotel
Day11: Lugu Lake: Ride around the lake to reach the village of Mukua. Cross the lake by canoes and back to Luoshui.  Overnight at Lugu Lake Hotel
Day12: Luoshui to Yongning: Cycle along lake shore to Yongning and visit
historical Yongning Monastery.     Overnight at Lugu Lake Hotel
Day13: (Bus) Yongning/Lijiang(211km)          Overnight at Lijiang hotel
Day14: (Flight) Lijiang/Kunming              Overnight at Kunming Hotel
Day15: Kunming: Sightseeing the Stone Forest located in Lunan County.
